​OFHEO Releases Second Quarter 2001 House Price Index. U.S. House Prices Grew 8.6% Since Second Quarter 2000. Washington, D.C. Tops In Home Price Appreciation For Second Consecutive Quarter at 14.4%.

Note: FHFA publishes monthly and quarterly HPI reports. OFHEO, one of the predecessor agencies to FHFA, was responsible for publishing the HPI prior to the fall of 2008.
