Every month, FHFA publishes a
House Price Index (HPI) which measures the movement of prices for single-family homes in the United States. The monthly reports include indexes for all nine census divisions and the U.S. as a whole. Each quarter, FHFA publishes a more comprehensive report that includes indexes for the census divisions, all 50 states, and the District of Columbia, plus every Metropolitan Statistical Area in the U.S.
