On page 30 it states the third amendment and net worth sweep enacted in 2012 and replacing the 10% dividend with a sweep of all profits generated by the enterprises to US Treasury ensured "all of enterprises earnings are used to benefit taxpayers". Figures show the enterprises have made payments to US Treasury in excess of $271 billion dollars. As a taxpayer, I would like to know how these funds have been of benefit to taxpayers? Outside of Secretary Mnuchin's public comments that funds went to support Obamacare subsidies (not sure that was a benefit to taxpayers?) where has all the other money gone? I have no idea but as a shareholder in the enterprises, the taking of all profits has not been a benefit AT ALL to myself or the many other individuals, pension funds, investment companies, who have put our hard earned money hoping to support the United States housing industry while hoping to earn a fair rate of return on our investment dollars from the #1 (Fannie Mae) and #3 (Freddie Mac) companies that earn the most profit per employee (Fortune's Global 500 list).
